Model United Nations and Model European Union conferences are not the only type of simulations our Club organizes. Our very own Moot Court Committee organizes mock trials of domestic and international courts in cooperation with prominent experts in the legal branches relevant to the simulation. These simulations are competitive and the best participants (in addition to gaining a certain reputation with the mentor professors who take part in the simulation) can also win reward points as a part of pre-exam obligations in certain subjects, further emphasizing the weight and importance of the competition. Thus far, the Moot Court Committee has organized following simulations:
– Simulation of the Criminal Court of the Republic of Serbia;
Professional support and assistance in the preparation of this competition was provided by Ivana Miljuš (Assistant Professor of Criminal Procedural Law at Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade).
– Simulation of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, Republic of France;
Training sessions for the Moot Court participants in preparation for the mock trial were held in collaboration with Ivana Krstić PhD(Professor from the Department of Public International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade), and Nataša Plavšić PhD (Agent of the Republic of Serbia to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg).
