The second moot court simulation in this semester was held on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 in the premises of “Incubator Gnezdo”, this time with the desire to bring our members and other interested students closer to the area of international business law and world trade flows through the simulation of the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organization (WTO). DSB makes decisions on trade disputes between governments that are adjudicated by the WTO.

The attendees had the opportunity to see a round between the teams representing the United States of America and Thailand, as well as their great performances delivered in the dispute based on the case of organic snake brandy.

The Panel deciding on the outcome of the dispute consisted of prominent experts in this field – Vanja Đekić, Ivana Radomirović and Marta Milanović, led by the eminent lecturer of the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade and trainer of the first Serbian team in WTO law moot court competition, Marko Jovanović, PhD as the Chairperson.

Congratulations both to Marija Ralević, a third-year undergraduate student, who has been named as the best speaker of the simulation, as well as to members of both teams who showed great interest in this matter but also invested a lot of energy and effort during the research and preparation process.

We are especially grateful to the Attorney Trainees Section of the Bar Association of Belgrade who provided us great help in organizing the simulation.
