On Thursday, March 28, 2019, Ms. Dragana Korljan, Coordinator of the Unit for Justice, Protection and Social Rights within the Special Procedures Branch, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, visited the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, from which she graduated herself. This time Ms. Korljan held an interactive lecture on topic “Getting to Know the Work of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights”.
The students already had the opportunity to meet Ms. Korljan in Geneva, in April 2018, during a study trip – seminar in the United Nations, which was organised on the initiative of UN Club of University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, during which she was one of the lecturers who left the strongest and most positive impression on the attendees.
Ms. Dragana Korljan for a very first time at the Faculty of Law , held an extremely informative, exhaustive and educational lecture, which certainly enabled students to get acquainted with the work of the UN and the UN High Commissariat for Human Rights in a very direct and immensely interesting way.
Together with the great number of students, the lecture was also attended by prof. Dr. Ivana Krstić, and Teaching Assistant Marija Vlajković, from The Department of International Law and International Relations at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, as well as Nikola Petrović, Serbia’s Youth Delegate to the United Nations.
