On Wednesday, April 25, 2019, the United Nations Club in cooperation with the Trainees’ Section of the Bar Association of Belgrade organized a lecture on topic “Comparative legal regulation of crypto currenciees“, in the hall of the Belgrade Bar Association.
We had the pleasure to hear hear about this topic from lawyer Mr. Dragan Maravić, law firm MMJD Legal. Mr. Maravić shared important information about crypto currencies and the way they are regulated in different countries around the world. The fact is that there is no universal way of regulating their usage. In some countries the usage of the crypto currencies is completely prohibited, in others it is regulated in an inherent way, while in most of them there is no regulation at all. So far, in his opinion, the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of Serbia is making progress in the process of regulating the crypto currency, which puts us at the very top of the European countries on the issue. In addition, Mr. Maravić shared with us his experience from cases he had in practice that dealt with the crypto currency, as one of the few attorneys so far who had the opportunity to work in this field.
We would like to thank the attorney Dragan Maravić, the Trainees’ Section of the Bar Association of Belgrade and everyone who attended! In the following period you can expect new lectures and other activities in cooperation with the Trainees’ Section of the Bar Association of Belgrade!
